Application Requirements for Post-Graduate Programmes

M.A. IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE

Application Requirements
Applicants must provide the following: 1) a BA degree in English Language and Literature or Comparative Literature with English medium. BA degrees from departments of American Culture and Literature, English Linguistics, English Translation and Interpretation, and English Language Teaching can also apply on the condition that they document English Language and Literature as their minor degree or the successful completion of undergraduate course work of 18 credits in English Language and Literature; 2) at least 90 out of 100 in the national YDS English proficiency exam, or an equivalent grade in other exams approved by the University; 3) an undergraduate GPA of at least 3.00 out of 4.00 or 75 out of 100; 4) at least 80 in the national ALES exam.
International applicants must provide the following: 1) the specified international English proficiency exams (TOEFL IBT 79, TOEFL CST 200-205, TOEFL PBT 500-524, TOEIL 950-959, IELTS 6,50); 2) an undergraduate GPA of at least 3.00 out of 4.00 or 75 out of 100; 3) a BA degree in English Language and Literature. The applicants with a BA degree in a different field and/or university may be required to complete the academic preparatory programme of maximum 6 undergraduate courses (for two semesters).
The applicants meeting the minimum application requirements must sit for an oral exam.

Application Requirements
